Facilitating a free exchange of ideas through media.
Knowledge is power.
MCM produces educational media programs that illustrate new approaches to complex conservation problems.
These programs provide information about how to reduce lion depredation of livestock, ways to deter elephants from raiding crops, possibilities for replacing protein acquired through bushmeat, information for how regular people can help combat the illegal wildlife trade, ideas to help people live and co-exist close to wildlife, innovative approaches to the sharing of grazing lands, productive ways to involve various community members outside of traditional roles for work in conservation, and support to encourage the changing of attitudes from wildlife as threats to wildlife as partners in community economic development.
It's a lot, but we take each topic and distill it down to the simplest message, the most straightforward approach, and the benefits for the individual and the community. We are not here to force anyone to do anything, we are here to show people the promise of new ideas and new thinking.
