How We Make an Impact?
Africa is enormous, with hundreds of cultures, languages, and conservation issues.
Our approach is simple:
We focus on solutions that can make the most difference in people's lives. The films will be part of a more extensive educational curriculum or screened as a stand-alone presentation.
We produce programs using relatable local and regional presenters in local and regional languages.
We make extensive use of our YouTube channel and our social media channels.
We get the message out by partnering with local NGOs, private and public preserves, schools and libraries, country-specific broadcasters, cell phone companies, and finally, in-person presentations for hard-to-reach communities.
We only produce projects with proven ideas that have real-world potential and can reach the widest audience possible through our various distribution channels.
Our plans include creating a platform for individuals to share their conservation success stories and experiences, enabling a direct and immediate connection for conservation.

Knowledge is Power
MCM produces educational media programs that illustrate new approaches to complex conservation problems.
These programs provide information about how to reduce lion depredation of livestock, ways to deter elephants from raiding crops, possibilities for replacing protein acquired through bushmeat, information for how regular people can help combat the illegal wildlife trade, ideas to help people live and co-exist close to wildlife, innovative approaches to the sharing of grazing lands, productive ways to involve various community members outside of traditional roles for work in conservation, and support to encourage the changing of attitudes from wildlife as threats to wildlife as partners in community economic development.
It's a lot, but we distill each topic down to the simplest message, the most straightforward approach, and the benefits for the individual and the community. We are not here to force anyone to do anything; we show people the promise of new ideas and new thinking.

Community Empowerment
Saving wildlife requires more than rangers, anti-poaching units, and better law enforcement. It must have a foundation of community involvement. When local people see the value of wildlife and natural resources and experience how these resources can benefit their lives, we can build an active force for conservation.
The questions of alternative livelihoods, protein replacements, livestock safety, and general welfare are complex challenges under any circumstances. As populations increase, habitats decrease, and the overall pressure on natural resources from all sides creates conflict, we must help people to make choices that work to benefit all.
We empower communities to reduce livestock loss, increase economic potential through tourism, maintain a more sustainable relationship with their natural resources, connect with pride in preserving their environment, provide opportunities to young or marginalized community members, and add to general increase of awareness.
One audience at a time. One village at a time. One species at a time.
